5 Million Containers Released with SCR

In 2026, Secure Container Release (SCR) by T-Mining reached a very crucial milestone. 5 million containers across ports in Europe were released using SCR.

SCR has been securing container releases since 2020 and continues to transform how cargo is handled across the globe. Let’s break this down.

Global Adoption

SCR's technology is trusted by top ocean carriers and is currently used by over 7,800 companies in more than 25 countries in Europe. Beyond just the initial carrier release, the system has facilitated a staggering 8,851,278 total transfers. These transfers represent the secure container handovers between downstream logistics partners that happen after the initial release.

Top Ports Leading the Way

Major international ports are leading the transition to secure, blockchain-based handovers. The top three ports for SCR releases are:

  • Port of Antwerp-Bruges: 3.4M releases

  • Port of Rotterdam: 1.2M releases

  • London Gateway: 184k releases
