Discover User Roles
Improving the features and security of Secure Container Release is our priority and we are happy to announce the release of new User Roles in SCR, improving the security of SCR but also improving how you can organise your work in SCR.
What's new ?
The current 2 User Roles in SCR, the admin role and the user role, will be replaced by the following User Roles :
ADMIN ROLES
Organisation Manager - full governance access (previous admin role)
Connection Manager - responsible for inviting new connections (organisations)
User Manager - responsible for inviting new web-app users
USER ROLES
User - can view all information and perform all actions in the platform
Viewer - can view all information but cannot perform actions in the platform
What does it mean for my SCR ?
Many of our SCR users have multiple admins on their account today. By splitting the current admin role into 3 different admin roles (Organisation Manager, Connection Manager and User Manager) we split the tasks performed for more clarity and more security.
What do I need to do ?
If your organisation has multiple admin users defined in the SCR admin portal, then follow the next steps. If your organisation only has one admin user defined in the SCR admin portal, then it will be automatically set up as Organisation Manager, you don’t need to do anything.
For multi admin organisations:
First, we suggest you align with the other admin users on who is becoming the Organisation, the Connection and the User manager internally.
Secondly, if you are the new Organisation Manager, log into your SCR admin app and identify the new Organisation Manager, the Connection Manager and the User Manager for your company.
And you're all set to go!
