How does SCR keep things secure?
SCR only grants access to companies and people it can reliably identify. To make that work, every company that uses SCR needs a piece of software — a secure digital safe that stores your company's identity. We call this the ID Wallet. You need one to use SCR. The main question is: who sets it up and looks after it?
ID Wallet on Premise
"On premise" means the software runs at your own company — not somewhere on the internet. You're in full control of your data, but it requires time and IT resources on your end to set up.
ID Wallet in the Cloud
"In the cloud" means the software runs on servers that SCR manages for you — not on your own systems. Nothing to install, nothing to maintain on your end. You just log in and go.
